Michael Duben was approached by an employee at the District of Muskoka who asked if they could start a food drive and challenge the surrounding municipalities. Michael liked the idea and decided to use his $25 to get the food drive started. He challenged members of his senior team to contribute to the food drive as well and to encourage their departments to participate. In less than a week, over 400lbs of food has already been collected and more is coming in each day. Besides collecting cans and boxes of food, they are collecting gift cards to give to food banks to allow them to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables as needed.
