Valda Hoar spoke to someone at the Salvation Army to see if he had any suggestions for how she could use her "pay it forward" money to help someone. It was suggested that she come back on Thursday since that's when many people come to get food and other items. Something came up and Valda was unable to get there until a little later in the day. Most clients were gone by then, but there was one woman who had stayed to help clean up. This woman was 87 years old and was confined to a wheelchair, yet she was there to help. Valda decided to pay it forward by giving this woman $30 to help with her expenses since she is on a fixed pension.
