Norah Fountain took a friend who is undergoing cancer treatment to the hospital. It was a difficult time and Norah recognized that it was also difficult for everyone else who was in the emergency waiting area worrying about their loved ones. When Norah went to get herself a coffee, she decided to pay it forward by buying $20 worth of coffee to share with those in the waiting area. Her gesture was very much appreciated by all and the Tim Horton’s employee actually used part of her break to help Norah bring the coffee up to the waiting room. When Norah left the hospital later that night, she struggled with her credit card as she was leaving the parking area and ended up dropping her card. This was the “last straw” for Norah after several very stressful days and she became upset. A kind man picked up her card for her then used his own credit card to pay her for her parking. When Norah said that it was not necessary, the man replied that of course it was necessary - because Norah had just bought him a coffee in the waiting room!
