July 15 Meeting
We had a full house this morning and a lot to cover! Thanks to President Dave for a lively, fast paced meeting!
Vistors from the Little Free Library were on hand to give us an update on the new library in Annie Williams Park for anyone who would like to read a book or leave a book.
Past member of our club Diane Chantler was in attendance from St. Thomas and she brought Rotarians Bill Chantler and Ian Chantler with her for a visit! The visit is always too short when friends come to call! It was so wonderful to see Diane & Bill again, they always bring smiles to my face!
Assistant District Governor Marg Walton was in attendance and busy with inducting new members and presenting Paul Harris pins to some of our members.
Two new members were inducted and we look forward to getting to know Shelly Duben & Phyllis Winnington-Ingram and welcoming them into our club!
Two members received recognition for multiple Paul Harris pins, Valda Hoar was recognized for her contributions in the form of a Paul Harris +5 and Jeff Hodges was recognized for his contributions in the form of a Paul Harris +6. Thank you both for your dedication!
Alisa Drouillard spoke to us about taking care of our mental & spiritual health as well as our physical health, something we all need to remember in our busy stress-filled lives!
Wishing you all a happy & healthy week....oh and a week off next week for me, I'm off to visit Sophia, Ulli, Sabine and Matti as they tour NYC.
For those who haven't met Sophia, she was our Rotary Exchange student 2010-2011. Sophia's parents are Ulli and Sabine and Mattie is her brother. I know they all extend greetings all around and I will give a full report when I return for the July 29th meeting.
