For a Rotary club that has just celebrated its fourth anniversary, The Rotary Club of Bracebridge - Muskoka Lakes has accomplished a great deal. All aspects of The Four Avenues of Service have been and continue to be addressed.
 

The following are some of the highlights and great accomplishments of our club:

Club Service

-A dedicated and active board of directors
-Active committees within the club
-Involvement at the district level with GSE
-Participation in the Leadership Academy
-Numerous fellowship activities throughout the year

Vocational Service

-Funding trade bursaries for highschool students
-Running the "Economics of Staying in School" program
-Sponsorship of a student for the "Adventures in Technology" program
-Funding to assist a student attending the Kumon Learning Centre

Community Service

Working with and providing funds for The Cancer Society, Bala Spots Park, Manna Food Bank, Bliss House Learning Centre, Port Carling Community Garden, Salvation Army Christmas Kettles, pain pumps for South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Camp Oochigeas, Hospice Muskoka, a specially equipped van for a handicapped teenager and Christmas Family sponsorship.

International Service

-Tsunami relief
-Bahama Babies Disaster Relief Fund
-Trinidad & Tobago Wheelchair Program
-5 of our active members are Paul Harris Fellows

The Events That Make It Possible

-To date, our PolioPlus Bear Campaign has raised $30,000.00 directly and another $70,000.00 indirectly
-Bala Cranberry Festival Rubber Duck Race (October)
-Mingle & Music (April)
-Cancer Dance (April)
-Food Concession at the Antique & Classic Boat Show in Gravenhurst (July)
-Rotary Calendar Sales (December)

Our Centennial Project
