Annie Williams Park Update

Todate;
The committee is just about to finalize the design of the new playground which is just amazing. This will give a real face lift to the park and sure to put big smiles on little people.
We are actively involved in participating or arranging for a number of fund raising activities over the summer. There will be some fund raising and attention this weekend at the Park during the Art Festival and of course, Mr. Kruger annnounced that proceeds from the Carnival held in the Parking Lot of the Swiss Chalet will be going towards the Extreme Makeover for Annie Williams Park. There is to be a Spaghetti Dinner held on August 23rd at the Bracebridge Rotary Youth Centre, sponsored by Scotiabank. Scotiabank will be matching dollar for dollar on this fund raiser. We will be looking for Rotarians to sell a few tickets to help our with this initiative.
We will keep you posted as further events take place.
We really need the support of all of our Rotary Members and ask that they consider a personal donation to Annie Williams Park Extreme Makeover and/or sign up as volunteer on the day of the "makeover" which is on September 10, 2011. We along with our other service partners are the trustees of this wonderful park and we need to ensure that this park remains the jewel that it is for the Bracebridge community, for all ages and for all generations.
Our goals is to reach $100,000 which will not only provide funds for the new playground but will give us the ability to upgrade the park with a new waterfront and a butterfly garden.
