Eight Generations, One Celebration
On 5 September 2026, the Rotary Club of Suntec City brought generations together at the FRCS Active Ageing Centre. Seventeen members and guest volunteers spent the morning with 25 seniors, creating mooncakes and lanterns — and discovering that Service Above Self transcends age.
The Rotary Club of Suntec City's annual 'Bake & Donate' event is now in its 3rd year, celebrating community, creativity, and connection. On 4 & 5 September 2026, 17 members together with 6 guest volunteers came together with a special theme this year: Snowskin Mooncakes.
After an evening of preparation and fellowship, Day 2 arrived full of anticipation. We headed to FRCS Active Ageing Centre to spend the morning with 25 seniors. Our volunteers guided them to wrap the dough, fill, and press the mooncakes. It was truly an 8-generation event, young and old, working side by side.
As a fringe activity, we also ran 2 lantern-making sessions with cut-outs, paints, and lots of creativity, enthusiastically led by our President Ruby Chong and member, Vijaya.
More than just baking, it was about teamwork, harmony, and sharing, living out Rotary's motto of ‘’Service Above Self''. This event was organised and led by PP Janice Goh and our resident ‘’Chef'' PP Teresa Lim, along with all our members and guest volunteers.
