Hands in the Kitchen: A Night of Fellowship & Preparation

On 4 September 2026, the Rotary Club of Suntec City kicked off its annual 'Bake & Donate' event to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival by making snowskin mooncakes for our seniors. Seventeen members and guest volunteers gathered for an evening that began with a shared meal, then moved into purposeful preparation together.
The Rotary Club of Suntec City's annual 'Bake & Donate' event is now in its 3rd year, and this year promised something special: celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival by making snowskin mooncakes to gift to our seniors. On 4 & 5 September 2026, 17 members together with 6 guest volunteers came together to bring joy and connection to our community.
We cook our dinner first before working. That evening, we gathered and cooked together, sharing a meal as a team. It was a moment of quiet fellowship, laughter, and connection before the real work began.
Then, energised and united, the evening came alive with purposeful activity: weighing portions of dough, filling, and preparing everything for the next morning's activities at the FRCS Active Ageing Centre. The kitchen was full of teamwork, laughter, and the smell of something sweet in the making.
This simple rhythm of breaking bread together first, then working toward our shared purpose, reminded us why we were here: not just to create, but to connect with one another.
This event was organised and led by PP Janice Goh and our resident ‘’Chef'' PP Teresa Lim, along with all our members and guest volunteers.
