Lifecycle of a Graduate Student: 6 yeras in 30 minutes

After 6 years, Ms. Agarwal's journey at the University of Minnesota has come to an end. In this talk, she will share everything she's learnt about being a Minnesotan, a member of the Minneapolis-University Rotary Club, and a PhD. The complexities of light-matter interaction and the movement of particles as a wave in the world of physics will be explained and how this can help us detect thousands of diseases using a single drop of blood.  If science is not your thing, come hear about all the service and advocacy efforts being made by the graduate students at the University of Minnesota and learn about Kriti's first hockey experience on Hockey Day.

Kriti Agarwal joined the University of Minnesota in 2014 as a PhD student in Electrical Engineering under Professor Jeong-Hyun Cho in the 3D micro and nano structures group. She joined the Minneapolis-University Rotary Club as an affiliate member in 2017. In 2019, Kriti was elected as the Graduate Student Body President and as a member of the University Senate committee on Educational Policy.
