April Tools was a great success in spite of wind and showers.

While the weather was not great a little duct tape solved the problem of our table clothes blowing off and some creative display work kept the bags of potato chips on the table. The water dripping off the tent did nothing to dampen the enthusiam and the smell of onions brought the crowds for one of our best years ever in terms of sales. Even after repeat trips for more supplies we finished the day running out of everything except for some cases of pop we can use at our next event. The free hot dogs for kids went over very well and were much appreciated by the parents. Our barbecue master Chef Walter is earning a reputation for superb burgers and heavenly Tuscany sausage. Most appreciated is Dr. Walter's pride in cleaning the BBQ to operating room standards. Thanks to Sue Paine for cutting up 25 pounds of onions and shedding a few tears, and to her, Aurelia and Jackie who cooked onions all day to keep up with the demand. Everyone pitched in under Rick's direction to setup, pick up food, assemble plates of food, take the cash and clean up afterwards. Rotary at work. Thanks to all.
