Whisky at the Painted Boat, November 29, 2008 . . .

A small but lively group listened to Scotch expert Andrew Starritt and tasted six different kinds of whisky.

The evening also included a piper in full regalia, unique canapes, and a live auction of three bottles of whisky. The highest item sold for $340.00. And Gord Hall successfully bid on a limited-edition whisky, a bargain at $200.00!

The success of this debut event suggests that we should repeat the performance in coming years. Thanks to organizers Al Holt and Rick Smalley, as well as Rotarian participants and friends.

Watch for the video/slide show, A Taste of Scotland, coming soon.
