Pender Harbour Secondary students, Glenda, Sarah, Lei Lani, Dusty, and Jackson.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs, and districts where students develop their skills as leaders while having fun and making connections. Five Pender Harbour Secondary students attended RYLA, March 25th through 28th, st Camp Elphinstone, in Gibsons.
Here is what a couple of parents had to say.,

I think they had a truly great experience! I drove Jackson and Sarah home and it was non-stop story telling. Rock climbing, talent shows, canoeing, team building games, red team vs blue team etc.  All the new people they met were so nice and cool.  Cherie said her drive home with her kids was similar, they were just so inspired and genuinely happy.

I knew they had fun when they didn’t fight me on the group shot :)  they were happy to oblige.

Thank you for sending these teens to RYLA!”

Thank you so much Rotary
I wanted to give you an update. Lei Lani sent me a text this morning telling me how much fun they are having already. That Dustin, (my son that never goes out, doesn’t socialize, doesn’t get involved at school) was up by 6:30 this morning in a voluntary yoga class!
I cannot put to words how grateful I am for this opportunity for my children.
Be still my heart! Thank you, thank you!
