Pender Harbour Rotary donation to Pender Harbour Secondary School PAC will help benefit the upcoming PHSS field trip to Whistler.
Anne Pino, Chair of the PHSS Parent Advisory Committee, accepts a cheque from Rotarian Lyn Charlton for the amount of $2250.
The funds where raised through the 2023 Rotary calendar sales. Thank you to the community for your support, the students will certainly benefit from this opportunity; an outstanding inclusive recreational learning experience.
45 students and 8 staff went on a field trip and Ski vacation March 8-10 to Whistler. Non skiers hiked and took in cultural events.
The PH Secondary School Field trip to Whistler was put into jeopardy after organizers learned the extremely affordable hostel they had previously stayed in was still unavailable for large groups due to Covid restrictions.
The PH Rotary Club stepped up with a cheque for $2,250 so the students could stay at the Blackcomb Springs Suite Lodge.
