Many thanks to everyone who came out from Gibsons to Egmont on Sunday September 6th, to help with the Camp Burley cleanup.
Special thanks to Rotarian & Scout Leader, Jenn Peters for organizing the event; bridging our PH Rotary club. with the 1st Gibsons Scouts. Together they tackled years worth of storm damage and overgrowth. The teams made an incredible dent in the fire mitigation - gathering firewood, clearing brush, and removing dead limbs to create a safer, cleaner camping experience for the scouts.
Some tired bodies but a job well done and a positive sense of having made a difference.
