June 6th, the membership gathered at the home of Ian & Jackie Grant to say goodbye to our international exchange student Emma. The club would like to recognize, with gratitude, Josh & Jodie Young for hosting Emma for the past year. Their generosity has enriched her life and those around her in so many ways.
The evening coincided with Rotary District Governors Jan Gisborne's visit to induct President Elect Ian Grant and his 2025/26 board members. Auctioneer extraordinaire John King added a levity, bidding up a special bottle of wine. The evening raised $270 for the Rotary International PolioPlus program.
All funds raised will be matched once by the Canadian Government, then matched again by the Bill Gates Foundation. The $270 will become over $1.000.to fight Polio.
