29th Annual Shawanaga First Nation Pow Wow
Rotary Club of Parry Sound Revival President Maria Ledesma and Vice President Kyrylo were pleased to volunteer at the 29th Annual Shawanaga First Nation Pow Wow this weekend. After receiving a call asking if Rotary could help, Maria and Kyrylo spent several hours working alongside community members during the August 15–16 gathering at the Shawanaga Pow Wow Grounds.
Being invited to help made the experience particularly meaningful. Rather than simply attending as visitors, Maria and Kyrylo were trusted to participate and contribute to the work of the weekend. For Rotary Revival, that opportunity reflects the kind of relationship we hope to build with the communities around us—relationships based on showing up, helping when asked, listening and working together.
