Georgian Jumpers Host Double Dutch Workshop
Parry Sound—October 20th — The Georgian Jumpers filled the gym with energy and teamwork on October 18 and 19, hosting an exciting Double Dutch workshop that blended athletic skill with community spirit. Athletes from across Southern Ontario joined to lead sessions, share techniques, and inspire local youth.

Founded in 1999, the Georgian Jumpers have long been a proud part of Parry Sound’s community life—from parades to championships—and this weekend marked a new step forward. The workshop wasn’t just about learning new moves; it was about collaboration, confidence, and connection. Participants cheered each other on, celebrated success, and left with renewed motivation for the upcoming season.

The Rotary Club of Parry Sound Revival helped make the event possible with a $500 sponsorship, reinforcing its commitment to youth programs and active living. “We believe in grassroots sport, in building connections, and giving young people the chance to shine right here at home,” said Club President Rick Cain.

Looking ahead, Rotary Revival continues its mission through the Something To Do Fund, supporting youth activities that build friendships and resilience—from recreation and arts to leadership events. Together, these efforts ensure local youth have something meaningful—and joyful—to do.
