At the September 28th program, 25 were in attendance including program presenters Mary Price and Rob McDonald of CSKT to discuss the recently passed Water Compact.
The next step is to form the Board of Water Management. The 3 counties affected will 90 days to submit names to the Governor for approval. A knowledge of water issues will be important. Hopefully, the Board will be operational in 180 days. It will be able to employ engineers as needed and an implementation fund will be available to help achieve the overall goals of rebuilding the system to provide more water through increased efficiency.
Justice was very productive as nobody managed to answer all 52 trivia questions on college football systems. Dennis won the raffle and donated to Loaves and Fishes. The Happy Bucket was highlighted by Doug announcing he is cancer-free after a long battle.
The trivia practice may come in handy at the October 4 social meeting at 5:30 at the new Brewery in Ronan. We will have a team to compete with other teams.

On Saturday, 13 members (and a spouse) turned out for the highway clean-up on Polson hill. Afterwards drinks and lunch at Sports Page were paid for by another member who couldn't make it. Ed and his wife Mary seemed to be everywhere with oversize pick-up sticks and huge bags.
