Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at the Elks at 12:15 pm by President Hu Beaver.

  1. Chili Cook off Meeting: Wed, March 11th @ 4:30 pm Greater Polson Community Foundation Office
  2. Our regular Rotary meeting be held at the Kwataqnuk Tues, March 17th.
  3. The 80th Anniversary party is planned for July 14th, 2020. The next committee meeting is Wed, March 11th @ 5:00 at the Lake Bar.  The Board voted to spend up to $ 3,000 from reserves to make it memorable on a motion by Joe Blacker.
  4. The District Meeting is April 17th and 18th at Fairmont. All are welcome to attend and there is a possible club reimbursement of $100.
  5. RYLA will be conducting a duck race during the District meeting/ $50 per duck. Four ducks were purchased by members during the lunch meeting and more will be added.

Justice: In honor of National Women’s Day, Brooke had all male Rotarians donate $2.
 
James “Jim” Thaden was introduced as a new Polson Rotarian. He is the Executive Director at Lake County Community Development.
 
Program: Brooke Duty / She presented on Digital Marketing. She explained that digital marketing is getting your business found online and abut building and maintaining customer relationships. She said digital marketing is more economical than traditional advertising; faster to make changes in a marketing plan and offers measurable results; all advantages to traditional marketing. Digital marketing is your website, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) placement of your online identity when people are seeking information; Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, social media marketing, video and mobile. Brooke said paid digital marketing targets specific audiences through display ads, ads used with video and through mobile marketing on your phone with such techniques as geo fencing. She said digital marketing is set to double in the next 3 to 5 years while traditional marketing will remain the same or decline.
 
 
 
Four Way Test was recited
 
Next meeting is Tuesday, March 17 St. Patrick’s Day at the Kwataqnuk. Corned beef and cabbage and green beer will be served and the program is the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament on TV.
