President Hu Beaver called the meeting to order at 12:15pm. The meeting was held at The Kwataqnuk Resort. Keith Urbach led us in song. Roger Grimes gave the invocation.

Bret Richardson gave a Festival for Youth Update. Chili cook-off hats and shirts are sale priced at $20 for the pair. Polson Rotary has a chili cook-off team. Team captain is Eileen Kane .Please contact her if you would like to help.
Tom Bansak mentioned the Yellow Bay Biological Station will have an Open House on Friday, August 9th from 1-5pm.
Mega won the drawing and gave the money to the Boys and Girls Club.
The next monthly social hour is the second Tuesday in August at Fiesta En Jalisco.
Hu presented a $500 check to Andrew Lau for the Lake County Connect “Building Bridges for Children and Youth” project focusing on mental health issues.
The program this week was introduced by Gayle Siemers. Andrew Lau of Lake County Connect was our featured speaker. He mentioned he has been a businessman and Main Street property owner in Polson for the past 6 years. His building houses 6 mental health therapists and a winery. Mr. Lau said there is mental health crisis and the collapse is due to a lack of funding and adequate services. He said Lake County Connect was formed to address these issues and to offer mental health counseling and education through a collaboration of mental health professionals, law enforcement and community. He said the vision is to meet the intense needs and create more community. He hopes to destigmatize mental health help. He wants to do more creative outreach to meet those with mental health needs where they are by expanding access to mental health service in Polson and Lake County.
The next Polson Rotary meeting will be Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 12:15pm at the Kawtaqnuk Resort. Ron Bone has the program.
