At the meeting  Of October 19th there were 14 members in attendance. Dave Fansher reported that the Dictionary Project has most of the smaller schools completed.  Justice revolved around the Salvation Army.  Bret won the Raffle and donated to Loaves and
Fishes.
 
Jim Thaden, member and Director of Montana West Community Development, updated on projects including the Economic Development District, a regional innovation center in Polson, a USDA Grant for a City development program, a county engineering study for the fairgrounds boat ramp, and additional funds available for small business loans.
 
At the meeting on October 26th, 20 were in attendance including 3 guests and a visiting Rotarian from Missoula Sunrise. 
 
Paul Travis of the Flathead Land Trust was the speaker.  The Land Trust has been active for 37 years and has developed conservation easements on over 16,000 acres from the South Mission Valley to the Canadian border including farmlands, wetlands and wildlife habitat. Two current projects include the almost 800 acres in the Bad Rock Canyon area and the new Somers Beach state park.
