Polson Rotary Club & Foundation
Minutes-April 14, 2020
Hu Beaver (presiding), Jim Oates, Marilyn Roberts, Jake Baumann, Dan Barz, Roxanne Duckworth, Bret Richardson, Megan Beard, David Lewing, Tom Campbell, Larry Peltz, and Brooke Duty were attending by ZOOM, a video conference call service-meeting started at 11:15. One member called in by phone. Also participating was Larry Ashcraft.
The March minutes were approved on a motion by Tom, seconded by Jake.
There was no treasurer’s report as this month.
Grants Committee-nothing new to report.
Scholarship Committee-10 applicants this year. The committee will begin circulating amongst the members for final recommendations. Joe, Megan, Dan, Brody are on the committee.
Signature Project-discussion on ways to re-focus the project this year to more of a community celebration event- perhaps combining with the 80th anniversary. David made a motion to refocus, seconded by Tom and approved by voice.
Membership Committee-nothing to report
Social Committee- No meeting this or last month.
Meal Committee-no report.
District Assembly-Cancelled. A ZOOM business meeting now scheduled for Saturday. $ 50 Ducks are still being sold as a raffle-membership raised $ 210 so far for Polson’s entry in the race that will be done-probably now at District Conference.
RYLA- also cancelled for this year. The District had been considering raising the age of participants by 1 year anyway, so that may happen now.

P.S. Some clubs are using ZOOM for regular meetings, streaming guest speakers that might not otherwise be available for a regular meeting. That might be an option for speakers at future meetings.
