President Hu Beaver called the meeting to order at 12:15pm. The meeting was held at The Kwataqnuk Resort. Mac Swan led us in song. Dick Christopher gave the invocation and Megan Beard served justice.
Announcements are as follows:
The board meeting will be moved to the 2nd Tuesday of the month starting next week.
“Happy bucket” contributors were Hu, Larry Peltz, Dave Fansher, Ron Bone and Jake Baumann.
Visiting guests:
Visiting Rotarian; District Governor Sandy Wong and husband Scott and Dr. Charles Bickenheuser of Plains, who is moving to Polson soon.
Marilyn Roberts won the drawing and gave the money to the Mission Valley Animal Shelter.
Tom Campbell proposed a New Year’s toast to Polson Rotarians we lost in 2019, with wine from his winery.
Larry Ashcraft mentioned the Flathead Lake International CinemaFest January 25-27. Polson Rotary will again cook breakfast burritos for the children’s movie on Saturday the 25th. If you would like to help, meet at the Lake Bar on Highway 93 about 6:30am. Larry also mentioned the city of Polson Board of Adjustments is seeking members. If you would care to apply contact Larry of the city of Polson website. Larry thanked all Polson Rotarians who helped with the Salvation Army Kettle Drive December 20th.
District Governor Wong presented our club with a basket from the Red Lodge Rotary Club. We can use this basket as a fund raiser for our club’s projects and in return we presented her with a basket to pay forward to another club. She held a question and answer period which represented the program for today..jpg)
The next Polson Rotary meeting will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Rob Turner has the program. January birthdays include Shandice Kerr, David Lewing and David Fansher.
