RING THE BELL

Join fellow Rotarians in raising funds to support The Salvation Army during the holiday season. This year, we are staffing the Red Bucket at Roseauers Supermarkets on Saturday, December 5, from 10 am-6 pm. Contact Levi Thane to indicate which one-hour shift you'd like to volunteer.

In addition, The Salvation Army is offering an online kettle for donations. Here is the link to our club’s online kettle: https://give-nw.salvationarmy.org/MissoulaNoonClub

Please share the link with family, friends and neighbors to donate. All donations via that link will count towards our club's total fundraising. The online kettle is great because people can donate from the comfort of their own homes.

Here are the basic rules:

Date: Saturday, December 5, 2020

Time: 10am-6:00pm

Location: Roseauers Supermarkets, 2340 S. Reserve Street, Missoula

  1. Each kettle must be manned from 10-6. If you have extra volunteers, you can ring earlier/later. More than one Rotarian can man the kettle at a time.
  2. Money can be collected prior to the date and deposited into the kettle on the 5th or given to Captain Ryan at The Salvation Army to be credited to our kettle prior to ringing.
  3. Clubs are invited to send up to two representatives to come to The Salvation Army to count their kettle at 7:00pm. Donations made in the counting room count toward the total amount. Donations can be made until the end of counting that evening.
  4. Club members can contribute a given amount to “opt out” of volunteering.
  5. Funds can be from individuals, businesses, the club or the Foundation. Cash or check only.
  6. The winning club will receive a trophy to keep for the year presented at the Rotary Holiday party by the losing club’s president.
  7. Signs will be placed at the kettle that say “This kettle sponsored by…”
  8. Clubs are encouraged to be creative! We’ve had mascots, local celebrities, choirs, pets, etc. all happen at our kettle! (But please just let me know your plans so that I can check with management)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Captain Ryan on her cell. 760-622-8044

For COVID-19 Precautions:

We will provide hand sanitizer and masks for each volunteer. Kettles and aprons will be sanitized before use and we will provide enough aprons for the number of volunteers.
