As Club leaders you know that Membership is the most important issue that affects every Rotarian.
 
Without membership GROWTH and RETENTION Rotary is at risk.  The results of your club’s Membership Engagement Survey will help in strengthening your Retention Rate.
 This survey measures the engagement and satisfaction of members within their clubs. The survey gives people a chance to talk about the good and not so good aspects of their club.  The results give Clubs some solid information about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. In other words, the survey gives voice to how members are feeling and then Clubs need to take action based on the good or not so good results.  Being aware and feeling good about an organization can lead to continued or renewed commitment and result in higher member retention – and that is a good thing for all clubs.
As most of you are aware this is the second year of the Survey.  Last year we had about 50% of the Rotarians respond district wide.  This year we are hoping it increase that number to 90%. The first year’s survey gave people a chance to see how the survey process works and the value in everyone participating. A second consecutive year of surveying provides data to compare to the benchmark of the first year and gives an opportunity for those who did not participate in 2014 to get involved for the benefit of their Club.
The survey will be open from today until April 30th. Again, this year if you need additional time for your club, please contact Mike Reddington at mikered@shaw.ca and he will extend your time.  We would like to complete this survey and have results back to you prior to the end of the year so that clubs will have the information to use in planning for next year.
I have attached a copy of FAQ’s on the Survey.  Take a few minutes to review and they will answer most of your questions.  If you still have questions please to not hesitate to give me a call. The district is providing the survey resources but, the results are going straight to the individual clubs and all surveys confidential, meaning all data is collected without names.
