Terry Fox Hometown Run - 17/09/06

The Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam Centennial assisted in the Terry Fox Hometown Run in Port Coquitlam today.

The day was cool for the runners as they assembled for the start of the 10 KM run. Some wheelchair runners from Hawthorne Centre were assisted by Rotary members. Rotary members helped with pre-registration of runners to speed up the registration process.

The day began at 8:00AM with Rotarians gathering at Hyde Centre in Port Coquitlam to set up for the masses of runners to come. By 9:00AM, the runners began showing up and were coming strongly by 9:30. The Ceremonies were held at 10:00AM and the Run began shortly after. It was a fun morning and a good time was had by all.
