Recently President Ron, Russ and Barrie met with Mayor Greg Moore in his office.
Our Club requested the meeting with the intention of cementing the relationship between the City and ourselves.
Some of the items discussed included ways in which we can improve the cooperation between us and better ways to support each other within the community of Port Coquitlam.
Mayor Moore once again assured us of the high esteem in which he holds our Rotary Club and how thankful he and his Council are for the support we provide to the Seniors’ breakfast, the Terry Fox Run and the Rotary May Day Parade to name just a few.

The Mayor was especially impressed with the copy of the Illustrated Dictionary we presented to him and he admitted he did not know we were providing them to all Grade 4 students in Port Coquitlam.
After an hour discussing various other topics with him all parties agreed the meeting had been very productive and a number of the topics discussed will no doubt prove to be mutually beneficial to both parties in the future and will be of benefit to the community and a number of the associations who work within it.

In the words of President Ron “that went really well and I think we have made huge strides this morning in our attempt to improving the understanding between us”.
