Seniors Award Brunch

 Seniors breakfast at the POCO Rec centre June 10th, 2006 - Saturday. Served by the Port Coquitlam Rotary Cenntenial Club and the Coquitlam Sunrise Rotary Club. Eleven Port Coquitlam Rotarians attended this event to add spice to the lives of our Port Coquitlam seniors. (Russ McMurchie, Janet Power, Gale Acker, Gaye Simms, Glenn Kellaway, Paul T & Colleen, Dave Binder, Ryan MacAdams, Mitchel Marcus & family, Tanice Norton - our new Co-Chair for Senior Projects on Community Services.

Event Detail:  Seniors breakfast at the POCO Rec centre June 10th, 2006 - Saturday. The Rotarians served breakfast, mingled and assisted with clean up.  All took place at Wilson Centre, where the Rotarians hold their weekly meetings, to help make the Seniors and staff there a little more appreciative and understanding of just what Rotary does in the community. People don't really know who or what we are and part of our role is to help them to understand.  This was a partnership with Coquitlam Sunrise Club who supplied 6 Rotarians to help with the event and picked up much of the cost of the event.   5-10  creative, gifts were given to the seniors as door prizes..  Awards were handed out by the Seniors Group to The Best Senior of The Year and many sports activities. A great time was had by all.
