Our RYLA Candidate
District 5050 RYLA Program
We are proud to advise that our club, the Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam, has again sponsored a RYLA candidate, Lucas Andersen, son of our treasurer, Angela Andersen. To attend this year's session: She writes:
"
Just to let everyone know that my Son Lucas was accepted to attend RYLA on April 29 - May 2. At the district assembly Youth session on April 17th I voiced my concerns for a program to help teens and youth with problems and went on to tell about a couple of 15 years old teens I know and how my son Lucas ending up using drugs and his current illness which is now under control by medication. I received a good response. All the RLYA youth and staff suggested that Lucas attend the current RYLA camp. A RYLA committee member came over to our house to meet with Lucas and approved his application. We had a very good meeting. Lukas is very excited to go.

I encourage everyone to attend Rotary meetings and functions as you may never know what benefit Or "AH HA" moment will occur. My Motto is- Go with the flow. Voice an opinion or concern. Go beyond what is expected by doing your ultimate professional best."
