The soul stirring sound of the great highland bagpipes can sometimes be the perfect note to  commemorate a special occasion.   A memorial or funeral, a wedding entrance or recessional, a birthday party or any event where you want to create an impact….and leave a lasting impression.
Mike will be speaking to us about this years BC Highland Games and Scottish Festival, 17-18 June 2016 at Percy Parry Stadium, Coquitlam.
Start off the weekend on Friday evening June 17 with the Pacific Northwest’s best professional bagpipers. The 2016 pro pìobaireachd competition is moving back to Percy Perry Stadium in a special event Friday evening. Our new Highland Pavilion will be home to this high calibre musical event, pitting expert pipers against each other in the classical music of the Great Highland Bagpipes. Be surrounded by the mesmerizing music of Scotland while enjoying the atmosphere of the Highlands in our new Highland Pavilion home.
This years festival on Saturday, June 18 will feature bagpiping, drumming, highland dancing, Scottish heavy events, British food, sheep dog demos, children’s activities (including golf), two beer gardens and an expanded whisky tasting event take centre stage on the field.
Tickets are available now and can be purchased online in advance of the Games.
Satisfy your craving for haggis, bacon buddies, Irn Brew and other Scottish delicacies at the British Food Shop. Check out our new Highland Pavilion celebrating the Scottish culture past and present in BC. Relax in the shade of the grand stands and enjoy non-stop entertainment on the main stage. And be prepared for the roll of drums when the massed pipes and drums of the BC Highland Games march onto the field (twice) during the day.
