Hike For Hospice - 2007 - May 6th, 2007

The Crossroads Hospice Society hold a "Hike For Hospice" annually as a fund raiser.           Crossroads has a large hospice (residence) in Port Moody where individuals and family members can stay to be with & look after people no longer able to look after themselves when they have only a few weeks left. The Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam is one of the co-sponsors of this event which raised over $9,300 for the hospice last year. The overall income for the three locations and the corporate donations was over $39,000. This year we raised 10,000 in Poco, 16,000 in Port Moody and 3,000 in Coquitlam Centre, a new location.

What is involved:

 
    1. A  5KM walk at any of the three locations set up at
      1. Port Coquitlam - Hyde creek Rec. Centre - 1379 Laurier Ave.
      2. Port Moody - PortMoodyCity Hall - 100 Newport Drive
      3. Coquitlam Centre - Inside walk  
         266 Walkers plus Corporate donations raised over $45,000 this year!
