Help Needed to Deliver Dictionaries -
We need VOLUNTEERS to deliver dictionaries to local schools during the next two weeks.
There are 13 local Elementary Schools we will deliver dictionaries to fot their Grade 4 students. We need to do this NOW! Please select a school close to you - it's a lot of fun. Email Paul (strudwick@telus.net) and arrange to pick up the dictionaries for the school you select. We will make sute the Principal has been notified of your arrival. The schools usually have us talk to the kids and hand out the books. This is best done in teams of two. If you need a partner, let us know.
Schools & number of books are: Birchland 24 , Blakeburn 65, Castle Park 59, Cedar Drive 28, Coquitlam River 39, Hazel Trembath 60, Irvine 55, James Park 52, Kilner 55, Leigh 56, Mary Hill 36, Westwood 40. I'll be doing Central 53.
The Principal's know we are coming and appointments will be made for a specific time when you and the class will be available.. We try to fit into their time schedule where possible.
Supplies are kept at Birkview Funeral Chappel and there are extra books available if class sizes are larger than predicted. There are also Rotary bookmarkers available with the supplies.
