The Terry Fox Hometown Run went- Sept. 14, 2008
We were there !!!
The Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam Centennial assisted the Terry Fox Hometown Run in Port Coquitlam Sunday. A special effort to attend was made by Rotarians.
We started at 7:45 AM with the most help needed from 9:00Am to 11:30. Runners assembled for the start of the 10 KM run at 11:00AM. Some wheelchair runners from Hawthorne Centre were be assisted by Rotary members. Rotary members will helped with pre-registration of runners to speed up the registration process.
The day began at 8:00AM with Rotarians gathering at Hyde Centre in Port Coquitlam to set up for the masses of runners to come. By 9:00AM, the runners began showing up and were coming strongly by 9:30. The Ceremonies were held at 10:00AM and the Run began shortly after. It was a fun morning.
