We were honored to celebrate the graduation of RYLA students including Michelle McDermott, Josephine Parks, and many others! Also we presented a $500 scholarship to the emerging RYLA leader, Candy Delgado and her family. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is a leadership program coordinated by Rotary Clubs around the globe. Each year, thousands of young people participate in this leadership program. We are grateful to Marc Sattler who served many days as our Rotary club’s Youth Director (AKA New Generations Director). 🙌
In the past, Rotarian Pete Rivera served as our Youth Director for many years. It was bittersweet as we were sad to give our farewell to Pete as the Youth Director and yet happy to wish him the very best in the next chapter of his life back in Texas❣️🙏
Also, we had an insightful, remarkable presentation from a renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Shahin S. Rad MD, on various forms of arthritis and advanced remedies and surgeries available. 💡🔬
It was an outstanding presentation with new surgical techniques, custom prosthesis, and info on hip, knee, and shoulder replacements with the latest technology! We were so delighted to have him as our guest speaker❕✨👨⚕️👏🏼
