What a marvelous evening for the Conejo Valley Rotary Club! Numerous special guests, admirable awards, incredible new members, visiting Rotarians, and not to mention an energizing speech on the update of the district and Rotary International from our very own inspiriting District 5240 Governor! ๐
The exciting evening began with People of Action Awards given to Rotarians, Delali Young, Pablo Velez, and Diego Velasquez, that have demonstrated an animated commitment to Service Above Self! ๐
Then we inducted two of Conejo Valleyโs finest including past Rotaract President Caitlin Alderete and transferring Rotary member, Hans Korsomo! Special guests and Rotarians from multiple clubs came to celebrate and give them a huge welcome. Weโre so grateful to have you in the Conejo Valley Rotary Club family! โจ๐ฉโ๐ผ๐จโ๐ผโจ
Also, our club gave, via cutting-edge technology, a very deserving Rotarian, Rik Zelman, a Paul Harris Fellow Award for stepping up to serve our club as President. ๐
Furthermore, we discussed our successful Habitat for Humanity project that took place in Oxnard. Our Rotarians were able to help with construction on a home for the less fortunate and we are planning more projects! ๐
To top it off we had the District 5240 Goveneror, Sandi Schwartz, share her vision, an update about the 72 clubs in our area that she is helping to empower, and Rotary Internationalโs goals including ridding the world of polio after 33 years of determination and proactive humanitarians! ๐ฉ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
