President Carol presents Marsha Belford from Brookhaven National Lab with a mug to thank her for being our program on January 27.
Marsha came and spoke to us about Brookhaven National Lab, where it came from and where it is going.
The lab is located on the former Camp Upton property and is home to seven (7) Nobel Prizes! The lab is the only US Department of Energy national lab in the Northeast US, one of the largest R&D institutes in New York State and a top Long Island employer, valued resource and educational asset. It was established in 1947 and sits on 5,300 acres.
