Jacob's Light Foundation was our program on July 25.  Dorine Kenney, Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation came to speak to us.

Jacob was Dorine's son serving with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Iraq and he died on November 13, 2003 when a roadside bomb blew up the bus he was riding in.

What they are doing is packing boxes with toiletries, foods and snacks, reading and writing materials as well as bug wipes, sunscreen, batteries and other necessities for our troops. Special items are sent for the holidays.

They also include letters from the public and letters and pictures from children.

In addition, they also care for soldiers who’s families cannot afford to send boxes to their loved ones.

Dorine is shown with immediate Past President Gary Zanazzi.
