The decision has been made to resume official lunch meetings at the Blue Goose 12:15 pm. Social distancing will be mandatory and masks must be worn when entering or moving about the restaurant.
Lunch will be $25 as well as Happy Dollars, Trivia, Pledge of Allegiance, Invocation, etc.
Our speaker this week will be Susan Daconto & Denise Waterhouse from Options for Community Living Options for Community Living, Inc. is committed to helping Long Island’s neediest families and individuals live healthier, more stable, and productive lives. In 1982 Options was established to respond to the need for supportive housing for people with serious mental illness. Options also partners with Long Island Health Homes to offer care coordination services to high-need Medicaid users (adults and children) with chronic illnesses through the Access to Care Program. Today, Options serves over 2,400 adults and children annually through its programs and manages over 160 housing sites scattered across Long Island. Options has been accredited, with commendations, by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), since 2000. This accreditation signifies Options’ commitment to quality, value, and optimal outcomes in the delivery of services. Thanks to Larry Boncimino for this weeks speaker.

Habitat for Humanity needs our help! We have been asked to assist in a project in Bellport. There will be a wall raising project on Tuesday, April 27th. The address to meet will be shared with all confirmed participants, so RSVP today! We need 10 volunteers to step up and participate! We will meet onsite at 8am and then convene at local brewery in Bellport afterwards to celebrate our success or review how we will correct the damage we have caused!

District has approved. There has been an additonal day added. We need volunteers for both Saturday 7 Sunday. There will be a COVID authorization emailed to all once recieved from the district. Please bring a signed copy with you to the event! Sorry for the last minute notice. We have received tentative approval to construct a 6' x 6' Butterfly Garden at the camp. We will be meeting at 9am at the camp and be provided both a continental breakfast and hot dogs/hamburgers at lunch. YOU WILL GET DIRTY! All tools, implements of destruction will be provided but please bring a pair of garden gloves. We are asking for RSVP as soon as possible to gauge participation. Once final approval from the district has been secured, we will send a follow up email. See you there!

Our speaker this week will be Sue Kahl from the Patchogue Neighbors Soup Kitvhen. Thanks to Tom Palmeri for arranging this weeks speaker.

After lunch we will be holding our annual donation meeting to consider community requests for assistance. Jan Taraskas will distribute all recieved donation requests at that time. Please be in attendance if you wish to have your input heard.
