At our regular meeting on Wednesday, March 8th, Howard Berg, billed as the world’s fastest reader, spoke of the super-fast learning methods he has developed to teach people how to rapidly learn and comprehend material on almost any topic.

Howard has authored several books, has produced, and is actively marketing a variety of audio-video products on “maximum speed learning.”

He started by explaining why and how he got started on the path of improving learning methods, and of the many successes his techniques have produced. He then outlined and demonstrated the cognitive processes associated with five essential skills: (1) how to read faster, (2) how to comprehend better, (3) how to remember, (4) math “magic”, and (5) emotional intelligence. Howard’s presentation was scattered with a number of success stories of people who have been helped by his methods.

In his concluding remarks Howard offered to provide complimentary speed learning courses to each of this year’s Babylon Rotary Scholarship winners.
