SCW Rotary Paul Harris Fellows

The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary International.  Its mission is to " advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty."  Through its programs, potable water is supplied to third world countries, students are trained in negotiating skills, dictionaries are supplied to school children and polio is well on its way to eradication.  At any one time more than 8000 Foundation funded projects are at work in the world.  When $1000 has been given to the Foundation by an individual or in his or her honor, a Paul Harris Fellowship is awarded.  Many Rotarians have been honored with multiple fellowships.  SCW Rotarians may contribute $25 to the Foundation each quarter by soindicating on the quarterly invoice or by speaking with Treasurer Dean Lewellen.
