“Expanding Canadian Healthcare in the USA: A new frontier for Arizona.”

Jeanine Jerkovic returned to the City of Surprise as the Economic Development Director in December 2014, previously serving as the City’s Economic Development Manager from 2006-2010. Prior to returning to the Surprise team, Jeanine worked as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Peoria, as Economic Development Administrator for the City of Glendale, and as a Trade Commissioner for the Canadian Consulate in Phoenix. Previous positions held in the economic development profession have included Vice President of International Programs at the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and International Trade Coordinator for the Arizona Department of Commerce. A lifelong resident of the West Valley, Jeanine had the privilege of being among the first class of Arizona State University West Campus students to graduate from ASU’s Honors College. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German language and has a Master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics.
