The James R. Green peace pole was installed on Saturday November 17 at the community garden run by Growing Together:A Giving Garden where Washington High School Interact Club volunteers work each week.
The produce grown at the garden (located at the Living Streams Church on Glendale and Central) is given to local food banks to provide fresh vegetables and fruit for those in need.
Jim Green was an active supporter of the Interact Club and their work in the community garden. No matter how many students were there on any given Saturday, Jim always made sure each student knew they were important and loved...and had a future. .jpeg)
