Red Rocks Rotary Celebrates 12th Anniversary

The Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks was chartered on March 15, 2002 with 25 members. Its first meeting was held on April 3, 2002 at the Adult Community Center of Sedona.

Since that time, the club has donated more than $100,000 in support to its primarily youth oriented projects and programs. Some of its most visible contributions were to the bleachers at the Sedona Skate Park at the Teen Center and the "Space Net" playground enhancement at the West Sedona School. These will soon be joined by the upcoming Splash Pad at the Sunset Park in West Sedona.

Of the original 25 members, seven have passed away and nine remain members. Those still active are: Dave Blauert, Allen Bradley, John Bradshaw, Ron Draxler, Alan Everett, Donna Hawk, Roger Hocking, Bill Lundy, and Randy Sosin.
