The 2022 annual Board Planning Retreat/Dinner on May 10 at Donna's house was a great success. Looking forward to a productive year with prez Tony at our helm. Lots of good ideas. Food and drink too!

Discussion Points:
Proposed Discretionary Budget for 2022-23 FY reviewed. Explanation from treasurer Donna about IRS 990 filing requirements to retain public foundation status. The coming FY donation should be adequate to meet IRS parameters for giving from individuals – but, if not, a per member annual assessment may be necessary. Proposed budget approved as submitted. Many line items back to pre-COVID levels with $14,200 increase in overall spending. If 2022 Oktoberfest nets comparable proceeds to 2019 event, the board may further, at its discretion, increase additional line items. The District Grant request for Manzanita Outreach school supplies for teachers project has been submitted.

Committee Chart: The “flow chart” was reviewed and recommendations made to update. International Service Committee will be put on an as needed basis. New members need to be more engaged. There will be a “Fireside Chat” soon for new members to better inform about the club and the big picture of Rotary and what it encompasses.

Hostess Donna was lacking is her usual organizational skills and failed (even though the camera was at the ready) to get the traditional group shot. To make up for the loss, a favorite from several years ago is being substituted.

Tony will be contacting members soon about joining a committee to make things happen. Use your skills to make our club shine!
