BCHS Interact Members Begin A New Year of Service and Leadership
BCHS students Regan Tindall and Charlotte Ungar recently traveled to Kenya with Crutches 4 Africa, helping deliver mobility equipment to people in need. 
Ashley Sherman served as an adviser for a team traveling to Mexico.
Past Interact District Governor Derrick Boateng received his Paul Harris Fellow recognition for outstanding service.
During last weekend’s Interact District Council retreat, students prepared for the coming year. BCHS is represented by assistant governors Regan Tindall and Cavalli Prince on the council.
Anthem Rotary Helps Build a Wall For a School in Tanzania
With our contribution of $2020, Anthem Rotary has supported the cost of constructing a new wall at Apagolo School in Tanzania, Africa. The Rotary Club of Iringa has invited Anthem Rotary members to visit Iringa, Tanzania, see the projects our club has supported, meet Rotarians, and enjoy what Rotarian Bo Skillman calls “an experience of a lifetime.”
Anthem Rotary's Ray Norris Youth Program Donates $5000 to Build 20 New Beds for Kids in Need
Our Ray Norris Youth Program donated $5,000 to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, funding 20 beds for children in need. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a nonprofit organization that builds and delivers complete beds, including mattresses, bedding, and stuffed animals, to children who might otherwise sleep on floors or piles of clothing. More than 90% of the mothers served are single mothers rebuilding lives. Through volunteers and 12 delivery hubs across greater Phoenix, the Arizona chapter hopes to provide 5,000 beds this year.
