BETTER BEGINNINGS BETTER FUTURES at Sunrise

Rotary Club of Guelph South is partnering with Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre to host children from the Shelldale Community Centre's "Better Beginnings, Better Futures" program.

Activities will include swimming (Sunrise lifeguard on duty); low ropes course (Sunrise Camp Coordinator will supervise); accessible playground, informal soccer game and BBQ.  Sunrise will have t-shirts to hand out and craft material for them to take home.  Our Rotary club is donating funds to cover costs associated with the bussing of the children/BBBF staff to and from Shelldale.

At least a dozen volunteers are needed for poolside (1), to assist at ropes course (2), to assist at the soccer game (2) and for food setup,BBQ, coffee, cold drinks, sound system setup etc (4).  And extra Rotarians are always welcomed and will be useful!  If there are 2 or 3 Rotarians that could be there between 4:30 and 5:00pm for set up that would be very helpful as Sunrise staff will still be involved with their day camp.  Also if 2 or 3 could stay after the BBBF children leave to help clean up and get the area ready for the camp the next morning that would also be very helpful.

Ann Caine is coordinating the food (hot dogs, hamburgers, buns along with cake and ice cream).
