20th Anniversary Celebration!

Our Rotary Club celebrates the 20th anniversary of it being chartered on July 31 2021. Given the positive response to the email sent out last week to assess the comfort level about gathering, we plan to move forward with the BBQ and the celebration at Sunrise Therapeutic Riding & Learning Centre on Thursday July 29 2021, 5 pm. This fellowship  gathering marks our first in-person club meeting since March of 2020 and is something that we are looking forward to.

This celebration event will replace our usual Thursday morning ZOOM meeting.  All efforts will be made to minimize any potential COVID transmission concerns, and to keep our first gathering simple and fun. To this end we ask that you bring your own chairs, side dishes, beverages and utensils. We will provide the burgers, condiments (mustard, relish and ketchup), napkins and delicious cake baked by Sharron. Of course, social distancing will be in place.  We'll determine the safest way to cook and serve the burgers....if restaurants can do it, we can too!

As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations we will be planting 20 trees at Sunrise. On the 29th we'll be able to view the actual site where the trees will be planted in October.

To assist with food planning, please indicate if you will be attending by Tuesday, July 27.

Also, we are in need of a few people to BBQ the burgers. Please let me know if you can assist with this job.

There is a Plan B if rain threatens - the arena at Sunrise. (Ann suggests that you don't wear sandals.)

We are very excited about gathering and look forward to seeing you next Thursday.
