Emma Cox was on the Junior Team Canada Trade Ambassador trip to China.  The trip was organized by Global Vision, an organization that includes such programs as the Regional Economic Round table, APEC Summit, Missions to the North (Canada), and Trade Missions to 40 countries.  Emma's team of 41 members went to SW China and Hong Kong.  In China they were hosted on arrival at a reception by the Canadian Consulate.  The Team visited 4 cities: Chongking,  Kunming, Chengdu and Hong Kong.  In Chengdu, they saw the Bio Tianfu Tech Park and the Panda Breeding Research facility.  Hong Kong is an international financial hub.

In China, Rotary Club membership is only open to foreign passport holders because the Chinese government insists that it must appoint the Club President, otherwise Chinese citizens can't belong as members.

Emma noted the local impact of her trade team's mission.  Marwood Metal Fabricators gained local Chinese marketing intelligence that will help smooth the entry of it's products into China.  The team promoted the Canadian brand in China.

Emma presented a banner from her trip and thanked the RC of Tillsonburg for it's financial support of her trip.
