Gary Schaudt has been appointed to serve on the Marshalltown Rotary Foundation board to complete the term of Tim Wilson, who has moved to Cedar Rapids. Schaudt joins Jeff Vance, Bonnie Lowry, Bettie Bolar, Bill Fitzgerald, Laura Lasack, Karn Gregoire, Jim Kidd, Curt Hoff, and Dennis Drager on the foundation board. Three directors must be past presidents of Marshalltown Rotary, three are elected from the general membership by the Marshalltown Rotary board, and three are elected by the general membership, with each director serving a three-year term. The tenth member of the Foundation board is the current Marshalltown Rotary president, who serves during his or her year in office. Donations to the Marshalltown Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, are used primarily to fund scholarships for Marshall County students attending college in Iowa, and are always welcome.
