Distribution of Clothes collected by Bad Homburg Kurpark Rotary Club – January 2022.
The Rotary Club in Bad Homburg (Germany) yearly collect a truckload of clothes that we take to Latvia. This year we handed over the clothes to the Salvation Army to distribute them.
General information about clothes distribution within Salvation Army in Latvia: there is no delivery of secondhand goods to the Army in Latvia from other parts of the Army world. The Army in Latvia gets clothing and other items from the local population. A lot of people from Riga bring things on a regular basis at our location on Bruninieku 10a.
The clothes and items are distributed in Riga and to other SA centers around Latvia.
The clothes go to:
Families, children and adults
Elderly
Clients of a Mental Hospital in Riga
Social clients
Anyone who is in need of secondhand goods for different reasons
Other charities
The clothes received from Rotary has been distributed in:
Riga
Drusti (Many foster families in the Region)
Seda
Bauska
Iecava
Liepaja
About 10 – 15 boxes of items are still to be distributed.
